Music Supervision Services

Music Clearance — Clear in advance "written specific" or "live" songs and source cues, if any; clear all source, featured, main & end title compositions and recordings.
Music Licensing — Issue and coordinate execution of final synchronization and master use licenses for all compositions and recordings included in the production.
Music Budget — Script and rough cut spotting; research song cues, provide music budget based upon estimated written and possible song cues, score minutes, type of score, song licensing and music production costs.
Music Conceptualization — Provide preliminary creative input and dialogue with director, producer and editor to design a fresh, creative concept for the soundtrack of songs and score for the production.
Composer Selection and Hiring — Provide suggestions and demo reels for review; provide and negotiate composer deal memos.
Original Music Production — Coordinate and produce specifically written songs for the production, including hiring of talent.
Music Cue Sheets — Generate a cue sheet containing a complete listing of all song and score cues, timings, authors & publishers for delivery to distributors and performing rights societies.

Contract/License Agreement Review — I will review synchronization license, master use license, mechanical license, single song publishing contracts & composer agreements and provide a detailed list of any required changes and offer suggestions. I will quote a fee based on your exact needs. Also available as part of my Consulting Services.
Music Clearance & Licensing Workshop — This workshop is designed to teach filmmakers, composers, songwriters & musicians how to successfully license music for placement in films, videos and other projects. The workshop will cover the clearance process, negotiating, synch license, master use licenses, composer agreements, cue sheets, joining a Performance Rights Organization. This will be a hands-on with many handouts and visual aides.
