The Funeral Singer Screens at SXSW!
The Funeral Singer will be a part of The Austin Film Society's SXSW showcase at the Hideout Theater in downtown Austin on Saturday, March 8, 2008 6 - 8PM. [more details - AFS or SXSW]
Jenn Garrison, an award winning, up and coming director from UT directed this delightful script, written by Jamie Preyer. The cast and crew did an excellent job making this a great film.
The Funeral Singer is a musical comedy with a dark twist about Lisa who works in a funeral home and dreams of singing on stage with her mom and sister in Las Vegas. It was shot at the legendary Austin State Hospital.
